What you should know about Sounds Air
Sounds Air have been operating for nearly 30 years and have vast experience flying in and around the Marlborough Sounds, Cook Strait, Wellington and Nelson. Since that time we have made over 150,00 crossings of Cook Strait to our own airport at Picton and also to Blenheim, Nelson, Westport, Napier and Paraparaumu. Most recently we have begun flying Blenheim to Christchurch, Blenheim to Napier, Wellington to Westport and Wellington to Taupo. These are single engine, turbine powered and are the perfect aircraft for our routes providing high levels of passenger safety and comfort as well as being very sturdy and extremely reliable aircraft to operate.

We may consider applicants with slightly up to 15 hours under the minimum IF and Night requirements, as these can normally be gained during line training. We understand every person is different, and adjust line training requirements to suit the individual. All staff are provided with initial and recurrent training on our G. T principles of customer service, and all crew are expected to maintain these high standards throughout their employment.
The Caravan is a late model turbo prop aircraft it is world renowned as a safe reliable aircraft. The Caravan holds 12 passengers and has the capacity to hold large items such as skis, surfboards and water skis.
