The land once covered by massive stands of native Kahikitea white pine now includes a mix of lowland farm, plantation forests and regenerating or original bush. A farm and bush walk through pretty farm land goes into regenerating bush to an impressive waterfall. The local area has many activities that can be reached within 15 minutes including Sea Kayaking from Anakiwa bottom station is fair 500m away or from several other companies operating out of piston or Havelock. We try to retain the area around the self contained units release so that occupants can appreciate their own space.
