For your convenience, Marlborough wine, soft drinks and beer from the in room fridge are available for purchase. With lofty vaulted ceilings and creative expansive floorboards it offers a very snug queen size bed with top quality linen, delightful chest of drawers providing adequate storage, bedside tables, important mirror and two chairs. Nanette, Steve and Natalie and family dogs Flynn Rhodesian Ridgeback and Paddy dismal Labrador, are very much looking forward to being your hosts and hospitable you to beautiful Wood side. With welcoming hospitality, and top quality accommodation, Marlborough Bed and Breakfast at Wood side offers the best of both worlds a quiet respite but fair minutes from wonderful wineries and the exquisite Marlborough Sounds.
With a private entrance off the Wisteria clad veranda, the Garden Suite in this historic 1877 home is stuffed of character and offers a relaxed informal environment for you to unwind. This, their second house, Wood side, was built in 1877 and survives as one of the oldest homes in the area. The suite consists of a spacious, healthy furnished en suite bedroom and sun room with French doors to both the garden and veranda. Lovely Adelaide's Barn offers stylish, self contained accommodation as an alternative to in house bed and breakfast in the Garden Suite.
Cavour new local provide imaginatively prepared, usually served on the rose bordered veranda. John Burroughs purchased a 100 acre block here on 16th December 1863 and the beginning house was built where our walnut orchard now stands. Marlborough luxury self contained accommodation just minutes from piston and Blenheim. The house is one of the oldest homes in the area and is a New Zealand Historic Places Category Two listed property.
Generous Continental Breakfast provisions are included in the tariff including free range eggs, muesli, fruit, yogurt, orange juice, local preserves, home baked bread and butter croissants. Generous continental breakfast supplies will be provided for you to prepare and appreciate at your leisure. Stroll preceding grape vines down to the Wairau River or to the historic site of the Wairau Affray here in Tuamarina or honest sit and relax in the sunshine. Enjoy a luxurious strong shower in the unused en suite bathroom, a large shelf area for your toiletries, heat pump, heated towel rail, hairdryer, and locally produced Jeymar toiletries.
