What you should know about Lawsons Dry Hills
The dedicated bunch of people that make up our small team at Lawson’s Dry Hills are very hands on’, living and breathing every part of the viticultural and winemaking process. We do a lot of talking and tasting before pouring our shared inspiration into every bottle. The resulting wines offer an authentic expression of the place and the grape variety they are made from together with a certain special something that we believe can only come from passion. It would seem that the combination of elements that go into each of our wines is a winning formula.
We have lost count of all our gold medals the certificates cover the walls in our cellar door while the shelves are buckling with the weight of all our trophies both local and overseas
New Zealand's Wine Family an export focused marketing alliance of twelve families owned New Zealand wineries has been launched in Fresh Zealand. Rebecca began her wine making career with Coopers Creek in 1997 three years, followed by two years busy as a cellar hand for a number of Marlborough wineries before heading overseas for some vintage experience. The Impaired Smithy raises Road Skipton North Yorkshire BD23 1NP England United Kingdom. A gentle, hands off approach has produced a wine where the character of the vineyard shines through.
Trivial batch fermentation, hand plunging and aging in French oak barriques has helped to yield an expressive wine with mighty berry fruit notes, pretty texture, immense concentration and tender tannin. Incredible with a Greek salad, any seafood dish, fresh green herbs, red tomato based sauces and of course, new Marlborough green lipped mussels. Produced from the Lawson's Arid Hills home block vineyard around the winery, where Ross and Barbara established their beginning vineyard in the hasty 80s. The Lawson's Parched Hills Reserve 2012 has been awarded SIX GOLD MEDALS at recent wine Shows and was selected by Cuisine magazine as FIVE STARS AND BEST BUY
