The product range includes a stuffed complement of sawmill supplies, customized saws in both Circular and Band, machining knives, a range of wood industry tools, fresh and worn grinding machinery and a professional saw, knife and tool sharpening service. Our onside Saw Shop management contracts with saw mills has had success’s proving value to our customers in keeping both performance and quality management at a high level. cameo Cutting Tools Ltd supplies and manufactures a wide range of Carbide and AF Superalloy cutting tips for the sawmill industry worldwide.

Checkmate is seeking a qualified Saw Doctor to join our team in our Morwell Sawshop. We are seeking a Suited Sawdoctor who has experience in both the Sawshop and the Sawmill. Either single or double cut using lofty quality European Uddeholm or Dido steel for strength and precision.

The position will require mighty experience in handsaw Servicing however there will be a need to aid in other areas of the branch to work on Circular saws and knives. Vollmer manufacture and supply a complete range of high quality sharpening machines for both circular saws and band saws.
We have a very healthy equipped and modern Sawshop with CBC Grinding Machinery, and satellite tipping on all handsaws. The position is responsible for maintenance and changing of circular saws, band saws saw center maintenance, chipper maintenance and meeting all production requirements for two very important Sawmills, with our Sawshop being based on one of their Sawmill sites. Today Checkmate has 3 service branches based in Auckland, Napier, and Nelson, and onside contracts throughout New Zealand and Australia
